How to Make the Most Out of Your Spelling Shed Subscription Part 4: Writing Scanner

Part 4 of ‘How to Make the Most Out of Your Spelling Shed Subscription’ focuses on Spelling Shed’s writing scanner. Read part 1 here, part 2 here and part 3 here

Writing Scanner

Spelling Shed’s writing scanner is a great assessment tool. You can upload an image of a pupil’s work to their name, then choose the Stage and word list that you would like to compare it against. This is a really handy tool for moderation, as you can upload writing, select Stage 5/6 Statutory Words and it will highlight where those words have been used within the piece of writing.

It also detects which words have been spelled incorrectly and how they should be spelled so that you can create a personalised word list.
