EdShed: Signing Up Made Simple

Signing Up Made Simple

We are always looking for new ways to improve your EdShed experience. That’s why we’ve created a new sign up process, designed to make it simpler than ever for schools, teachers, trusts, parents, guardians and learners to join us.

What Does This Mean for Existing EdShed Subscribers?

If you are an existing EdShed subscriber, you don’t need to make any changes to your account. You may notice that we have given your sign in page a makeover and it will now look the image below.

What Does This Mean for New EdShed Subscribers?

The new sign up process will make it easier than ever to sign up for a 30-day free trial or subscription.

New Sign Up Page

EdShed’s sign up page has had a makeover and you will see our fancy new icons, which will allow you to select whether you are signing up as a school, teacher, parent, trust, tutor or learner.

New School Finder

When signing up, you can now find and select your school. If your school already exists in our database, you can enter your joining code. This will reduce the number of duplicate schools and ensure that your information is centralised. If your school is completely new to EdShed, it will inform you that you are the first person registering your school. If you think that this is not the case, you should speak to your school admin.

If you are signing up as a trust or tutor, it will not provide a drop-down option for your address.

New Suggestions for Usernames and Passwords

Can’t think of a username or password? No problem, our system will now make suggestions for you. We also no longer ask for a date of birth but will ask for confirmation that you are over 18. This will make signing up quicker.

Choosing Your Subscription

You will then be taken to the subscription page. You can choose the type of subscription (Spelling Shed, Phonics Shed or MathShed), a free subscription (includes QuizShed) or a free trial. You can sign up for a 30-day FREE trial for Spelling Shed, Phonics Shed or MathShed and you can now set your free trial to start at a later date. We recommend booking a demo call to make sure you are getting the most out of your free trial.

You can save 10% with a Spelling Shed and MathShed combined subscription.

Your billing address will be automatically set to the address you have previously entered, this saves you from having to enter it twice. However, this can be changed manually.

Quick Start Wizard

After you have completed your sign up, you will then be shown the Quick Start Wizard, which will help you get your account set up quickly.

Learner Sign Up

Learners can also sign up for an account. Learners will be asked for a date of birth and will need to enter their parents or guardians email address. The parent or guardian will receive an email, which will include a link to confirm their consent and finish activating the account. It will also include a link to give to the child, which they can then use to sign in.
